Changing Speedo Cable on GT LE
Can anyone help please?
My speedo has stopped working :(. I assume it is the cable so I have bought a new cable (inner and outer). However, I really would appreciate advice about replacing the cable. I can't see how to get to the back of the speedo and the other end of the cable is sensibly (not) located just above a cross member.

Unfortunately it's a fiddly Knuckle shredding job. Is the old cable definitely broken or just come loose at one end?
Yes, I think this is going to result in a few cuts and bruises and the odd naughty word !! Not sure where the break is.
I hope to get the car over a pit later this week so I can investigate the overdrive end.
It looks as though I have to partially pull the dash out to get at the speedo end - not a quick job !

it is possible, once the grearbox end of the cable is released, to remove the speedo through the dash far enough to release the cable from the speedo head. Removing the speedo clamps is fun though :@
