Do you want a new (O.E.M. Spec) dash plaque for your L.E.?
Hi...Thanks to all of those who have requested a dash plaque for there LE (especially those who have been waiting patiently for a long time now- I know how it feels as I waited a long 11 long months for my Jubilee one, it was well worth it though:D).
This is a rough idea of what it will look like (please note that the bottom date will be 1980 not 1975)
In the first instance could all of you who said they originally wanted one (see the attached list) please send me a PM to confirm that they still do and what they would like engraved on the bottom of their plaque (the cost is £18 plus £3 p&p and delivery will be approx. 6 weeks)?
Can you also let me know what type of fixing you require (either stud/wing nut-as per Jubilee but requires a hole or double sided tape)?
I have just been asked the question of what is engraved on the plaque. Here's the reply to make things clearer-The top section (Car no.) on the plaque will show your L.E's sequential chassis number (1-1000) but the bottom section is up to you.
The common themes for the Jubilee are-
1st owners name (which is what the original Jubilees had)
Your name
Car Reg
Build date
JULE Car no.
Or just leave it blank
The choice is yours but is limited to 16 characters

Once I've had confirmation back from you all (provided nobody has dropped out) I will send you a PM confirming payment details and as soon as I recieve your payments in I can get the order placed-I'm prepared to pay for the extra few to make up the order as I'm sure that, like the Jubilee's that new members will ask to be added during the manufacturing period.
This may well be a one off single production run so if you think you might wait til next time you could miss out.
Also has anyone got a good original front bumper or rear boot/tailgate badge which I could borrow to get a colour match for the red?

Silverstone over/car finished (well almost) so I'm back online again.

Just a quick update
I have now recieved all 17 payments, thank you, The order has been with the manufacturer for a few days and ,provided they keep to their quotation I should recieve them back from the engraver mid August-I'll let you know more as time goes on.
I have also ordered an extra 6 for stock so if anyone else out there would like one please let me know?

The good news is that I recieved the plaques on Thursday but the bad news is that they are wrong.
The manufacturers have used the wrong tooling (e.g. the one from the Jubilee was used with 1975 instead of 1980). The company is very apologetic and are producing the correct item asap but unfortunately due to them being produced via different processes the delivery has now gone to the 25th of August plus they then need to go for engraving so delivery is most likely now going to be mid September-sorry:(:(

I'd like two of these please for my two LE 's can you let me know where the cheque should go,who it should be payable to and how much it should be for.
I've been having a quick look at MRM and it seems suprisingly solid underneath.The spring hangers are sound as are the jacking points and the only rot I have found is under the front driver's side wing next tolo the castle section.As I have already told you,there are oversills on it and the four Tyres seem unworn though they are flat.

Before I do a runner and go on holiday with your money:D:D I thought you would like to know that they have just been finished (see attached photo) and will be off to the engraver's next week. Unfortunately I am unlikely to have time before going on holiday to put the engraving list together (sorry) but will sort it as soon as i get back.

Just to let you know that I will be posting all of the stick on plaques out today via recorded post which should hopefully land with you on Saturday. I am sure that you will be happy with them but as always would appreciate hearing from you.
For those of you who are waiting for the threaded plaque for some reason the silver plate started to lift each time one was engraved, I'm not sure why as the stick on ones were done first and are spot on so I have returned them to the manufacturer and am awaiting their response-which I will forward as soon as it is recieved.
Once again I'm sorry for the delay with this but, as those who will be recieving theirs shortly will confirm, they are worth waiting for.
