LED Bulbs in dash

PreviousPage 3 of 3

I'm currently experimenting with some high power 2w led festoon (4w total compared to 36w!) reverse bulbs and a festoon bulb for the rear interior light.

My rear number plate lights seem a bit cobbled up. Should a LE GT have festoon bulbs or 4 small bulbs for the numberplate lights?

Hi pete

We look forward to hearing how you get on 😀

the number plate gas normal bulbs 😉

If it ain't broken don't try to fix it as if you do it will definitely break

Is that one long one per side or 2 small ones per side? 🙂

sorry..2 per side....4 in total B)

If it ain't broken don't try to fix it as if you do it will definitely break

I've managed to find some led bulbs for the rocker switches now. They are ones for Hornby model railway signals :p

Every bulb on the dash apart from the alternator one is an LED. I reckon it's saved between 2 to 3 amps of load!

Hi they look great.were they easy to fit?

Is there any chance of you listing all bulb numbers please?

The front cover of the switch pulls off with your fingers and the top of the bulb is pointing at you which just unscrews 🙂 All the other bulbs I've used are on page 1 🙂 These are the ones I used for the rockers:

The only other mod needed was on some of switches I had to swop the two spade terminal lighting wires round, to make the bulb light. They have a live and earth, one on each side. My next job will be to make a small loom to power the three new gauges in the middle 🙂
