Evening all,

Jubilee MOT at the weekend. Guessing I may need to replace my tyres this year. Are 175/80 R14 the way to go ?

Hi Adrian

The original size of tyre for the Jubilee was 165/80/14 and not as many think the same as the V8 which had 175/80/14, which has a differently calibrated speedo. If you want to to maintain the same rolling circumference / not upset your speedo readings then 185/70/14 is a direct and common upgrade.

If it ain't broken don't try to fix it as if you do it will definitely break

Colin - interesting. I've just replaced the speedo cable and it reads circa 5mph under the actual speed travelled compared to my SatNav- so this could be the reason why?
