Out with the old and in with a V8
As many will know I am currently converting my Jube to full original factory V8 spec (except for some minor engine upgrades).as the months go by keep having a look in here to see the progress made.Hope I have it ready for April
My poor old tired but trustworthy 1800 just before being removed to make way for a new heart-Note that the radiator has already been moved (engine driven fan removed) to the forward as per the V8

Donor V8 EngineThis is from a genuine rubber bumper GT V8 so the engine numbers all match up-took some finding

Donor V8 Engine-seized!!!!!I was sold the engine as turning over freely (from a trader) but to be fair it would have if some clown hadn't partially stripped it then loosely stuck it back together again so/left it outside so that the rain could get in it. Having got the engine it was far from that as you will see from the picture. However after stripping down I freed things up by removing a piston and all was good underneath the muck. I also complained to the trader who gave me half my money back so I managed to get the engine along with original engine mounting plates,starter,dizzy,water pump alternator & water pump pulleys for a mere £100.She looks a lot better than that now (Jan 2010) and is just about to be re-assembled

Jubilee Dash Plaque Original vs eBay Reproduction
As you will see from the forum I am setting up a group buy for both the Jubilee and L.E. dash plaque. These pictures show the quality of the original (the replacements will be the same if not better) vs a reproduction item off of eBay-which is quite frankly awful & cost me nearly £14.
